Love And Death Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEECDShall we too rise forgetful from our sleep | A |
And shall my soul that lies within your hand | B |
Remember nothing as the blowing sand | B |
Forgets the palm where long blue shadows creep | A |
When winds along the darkened desert sweep | A |
Or would it still remember tho' it spanned | B |
A thousand heavens while the planets fanned | B |
The vacant ether with their voices deep | A |
Soul of my soul no word shall be forgot | C |
Nor yet alone beloved shall we see | D |
The desolation of extinguished suns | E |
Nor fear the void wherethro' our planet runs | E |
For still together shall we go and not | C |
Fare forth alone to front eternity | D |
