If Death Is Kind Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDBD

Perhaps if Death is kind and there can be returningA
We will come back to earth some fragrant nightB
And take these lanes to find the sea and bendingA
Breathe the same honeysuckle low and whiteB
-
We will come down at night to these resounding beachesC
And the long gentle thunder of the seaD
Here for a single hour in the wide starlightB
We shall be happy for the dead are freeD
