Dust Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEAE

When I went to look at what had long been hiddenA
A jewel laid long ago in a secret placeB
I trembled for I thought to see its dark deep fireC
But only a pinch of dust blew up in my faceB
-
I almost gave my life long ago for a thingD
That has gone to dust now stinging my eyesE
It is strange how often a heart must be brokenA
Before the years can make it wiseE
