Krishna Awakes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMJ GNOPQRS TUSSUJ VWXY SWQ

Krishna awake for the day has dawnedA
large deep and lotus likeB
your eyes are as in the love shaped lakeC
a pair of swans even a million Kamadevas cannot vieD
with the bewitching beauty of your faceE
the sun rises in the eastF
a crimson ball the night is goingG
and the moonlight palesH
the lamps turn dimI
and the stars fade outJ
as though the bright radiance of wisdom's raysK
dispels the pleasures that the senses tireL
and the light of hope chases awayM
the murky darkness of despair and doubtJ
-
Listen the birds singG
aloud with glee O sweet childN
life of my lifeO
my sole wealthP
O darling boyQ
bards and minstrelsR
sing your praisesS
saying 'victory victory '-
-
Clusters of lotuses burst into bloomT
the bumblebees humming with sweet soundU
leave the lotusesS
as though the devout renouncing worldly tiesS
in your love drownedU
chant your name as they go aboutJ
-
Hearing his mother's words with loveV
drenched the Lord of Mercy arose from his bedW
the world's woes vanishedX
maya's net was rentY
-
Says SuradasaS
'Seeing his lotus face delusion fledW
all doubts and dualities were destroyed and I found in Govinda eternal joyQ
