To Sara Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDEFFGGHHII EEJKL MMNNOO

One kiss dear maid I said and sighedA
Your scorn the little boon deniedA
Ah why refuse the blameless blissB
Can danger lurk within a kissB
-
Yon viewless wand'rer of the valeC
The spirit of the western galeC
At morning's break at evening's closeD
Inhales the sweetness of the roseE
And hovers o'er th' uninjured bloomF
Sighing back the soft perfumeF
Vigor to the zephyr's wingG
Her nectar breathing kisses flingG
And he the glitter of the dewH
Scatters on the rose's hueH
Bashful lo she bends her headI
And darts a blush of deeper redI
-
Too well those lovely lips discloseE
The triumphs of the op'ning roseE
O fair O graceful bid them proveJ
As passive to the breath of loveK
In tender accents faint and lowL
Well pleased I hear the whispered 'No '-
The whispered 'No' how little meantM
Sweet falsehood that endears consentM
For on those lovely lips the whileN
Dawns the soft relenting smileN
And tempts with feigned dissuasion coyO
The gentle violence of joyO
