Sonnet Vi. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADBDBEBEFBF

Pale Roamer thro' the Night thou poor forlornA
Remorse that man on his death bed possessB
Who in the credulous hour of tendernessC
Betrayed then cast thee forth to Want and scornA
The World is pityless the Chaste one's prideD
Mimic of Virtue scowls on thy distressB
Thy kindred when they see thee turn asideD
And Vice alone will shelter WretchednessB
O I am sad to think that there should beE
Men born of woman who endure to placeB
Foul offerings on the shrine of MiseryE
And force from Famine the caress of LoveF
Man has no feeling of thy sore DisgraceB
Keen blows the blast upon the moulting doveF
