Sonnet V. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDECFGGFGG

Sweet Mercy how my very heart has bledA
To see thee poor old man and thy gray hairsB
Hoar with the snowy blast while no one caresB
To clothe thy shrivelled limbs and palsied headA
My Father throw away this tattered vestC
That mocks thy shiv'ring take my garment useD
A young man's arm I'll melt these frozen dewsE
That hang from thy white beard and numb thy breastC
My Sara too shall tend thee like a childF
And thou shalt talk in our fire side's recessG
Of purple pride that scowls on wretchednessG
He did not scowl the Galilaean mildF
Who met the Lazar turned from rich man's doorsG
And called him Friend and wept upon his soresG
