Answer To A Child's Question Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDAAEB

Do you ask what the birds say The sparrow the doveA
The linnet and thrush say 'I love and I love 'B
In the winter they're silent the wind is so strongC
What it says I don't know but it sings a loud songC
But green leaves and blossoms and sunny warm weatherD
And singing and loving all come back togetherD
Then the lark is so brimful of gladness and loveA
The green fields below him the blue sky aboveA
That he sings and he sings and forever sings heE
'I love my Love and my Love loves me 'B
