Two Sisters Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFH IJIJ KLML

Well may you sit within and fond of griefA
Look in each other's face and melt in tearsB
Well may you shun all counsel all reliefA
Oh she was great in mind tho' young in yearsC
-
Chang'd is that lovely countenance which shedD
Light when she spoke and kindled sweet surpriseE
As o'er her frame each warm emotion spreadD
Play'd round her lips and sparkled in her eyesE
-
Those lips so pure that mov'd but to persuadeF
Still to the last enliven'd and endear'dG
Those eyes at once her secret soul convey'dF
And ever beam'd delight when you appear'dH
-
Yet has she fled the life of bliss belowI
That youthful Hope in bright perspective drewJ
False were the tints false as the feverish glowI
That o'er her burning cheek Distemper threwJ
-
And now in joy she dwells in glory movesK
Glory and joy reserv'd for you to shareL
Far far more blest in blessing those she lovesM
Than they alas unconscious of her careL
