To The Gnat Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEBFGHCICJ

When by the green wood side at summer eveA
Poetic visions charm my closing eyeB
And fairy scenes that Fancy loves to weaveA
Shift to wild notes of sweetest MinstrelsyC
'Tis thine to range in busy quest of preyD
Thy feathery antlers quivering with delightE
Brush from my lids the hues of heav'n awayD
And all is Solitude and all is NightE
Ah now thy barbed shaft relentless flyB
Unsheaths its terrors in the sultry airF
No guardian sylph in golden panoplyG
Lifts the broad shield and points the glittering spearH
Now near and nearer rush thy whirring wingsC
Thy dragon scales still wet with human goreI
Hark thy shrill horn its fearful laram flingsC
I wake in horror and 'dare sleep no more 'J
