To The Butterfly Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDEEFF

Child of the sun pursue thy rapturous flightA
Mingling with her thou lov'st in fields of lightA
And where the flowers of paradise unfoldB
Quaff fragrant nectar from their cups of goldB
There shall thy wings rich as an evening skyC
Expand and shut with silent ecstasyD
Yet wert thou once a worm a thing that creptE
On the bare earth then wrought a tomb and sleptE
And such is man soon from his cell of clayF
To burst a seraph in the blaze of dayF
