Captivity. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD

Caged in old woods whose reverend echoes wakeA
When the hern screams along the distant lakeA
Her little heart oft flutters to be freeB
Oft sighs to turn the unrelenting keyB
In vain the nurse that rusted relic wearsC
Nor mov'd by gold nor to be mov'd by tearsC
And terraced walls their black reflection throwD
On the green mantled moat that sleeps belowD
