A Wish Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HIHI

Mine be a cot beside the hillA
A bee hive's hum shall sooth my earB
A willowy brook that turns a millA
With many a fall shall linger nearC
-
The swallow oft beneath my thatchD
Shall twitter from her clay built nestE
Oft shall the pilgrim lift the latchD
And share my meal a welcome guestE
-
Around my ivy'd porch shall springF
Each fragrant flower that drinks the dewG
And Lucy at her wheel shall singF
In russet gown and apron blueG
-
The village church among the treesH
Where first our marriage vows were giv'nI
With merry peals shall swell the breezeH
And point with taper spire to heav'nI
