| Grand ma used to tell me that except I do | B |
| Harm to others | C |
| Evil will never befall me | D |
| Good things come to those who wait | E |
| Providing they are ready to wait with | F |
| The legendary patience of the elephant | G |
| Oh God My Heavenly Father | H |
| Where are the glad tidings promised | I |
| To us the sheepishly patient fellows | J |
| When do our feet greet the promised land | K |
| The ecstasy and the much awaited glee | D |
| Too many times have we watched the sun drop | L |
| Countless times have we taken a shot and misfired | K |
| Oh what about the long dreadful nights | M |
| Where sleep seemed to be strolling the other side | K |
| Climaxing in so many dreams and disapprovals | M |
| The mornings coming soon enough | N |
| And life staring us in the face with nothing to show | O |
| I look to the skies the stars of luck eluded me | D |
| I took shade under a famous tree | D |
| It refused to shield me from the rains | M |
| Grand ma I remember the name you gave me | D |
| You told me a hundreth times and more | P |
| That it shall be well with me | D |
| The blessings you spat at my face pure and potent | K |
| And how you said good always triumphs over evil | Q |
| In the long run | R |
| Your wrinkled hand warm and wise with love | S |
| And I believed it when you told me | D |
| That I shall never embark on my journey | D |
| When the roads go hungry | D |
| I had believed in all you told me mother | H |
| Your wisdom your ways and your guidance | M |
| And your maternal love solid and true | B |
| Oh my Heavenly Father I believed in you | B |
| I still believe in you | B |
| Forgive me if at times I lost myself in the ways | M |
| of the world | K |
| I do not deny those things that time has forged me into | B |
| I do not despair over the things that time has deprived me of | S |
| My grief is because of what was left behind | K |
| Those things impossible to forget | K |
| By your commandments | M |
| I had plunged the dark waters of life with love | S |
| Over and over have I been greeted with hatred | K |
| And betrayals | M |
| So much disdain and disaffection | R |
| For the love of You Father I refused to stray | T |
| From the path you ordained for me | D |
| But they keep scooping the earth beneath my feet | K |
| So many times have I faltered and fallen | R |
| And there wasn't any ready hand to pull me up | U |
| The friends I beamed my light on while gropping in the dark | V |
| Have suddenly been turned into foes | M |
| By earthly possessions | M |
| And I have become a sword bereft of its scabbard | K |
| I have come to realize that there's no justice | M |
| In the universe save for the one granted by You Father | H |

Poet's note: This poem was written in one of those times when my insignificant and frailty in the universe saturated me. Leaving me feeling alone and unaccomplished.
