    times when unbroken
    gloom is over all our world
    over which still
    sits the ever brilliant moon

    limitations gone
    since my mind fixed on the moon
    clarity and serenity
    make something for which

    There's not a trace of cloud
    Now-and she
    Is in my thoughts;
    The moon and my heart

    Sunk in melancholy, and

    Why is it so deeply

Though late it be, though lily-time be past,
Though all the summer skies be overcast,
Haply I will go down to her, some day,

That she may have her will of me, being so sweet
