Wisdom From A Tree Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABC DEFGGH IHJK LMNO

I was placed here as a nothingA
With the hope of nature that I would become a somethingA
To emerge and become to become and go onB
In the hopes that I would become strong and tallC
-
When I first opened my eyes all was in darknessD
But as I grew up and emerged some things became clearE
I did not know how I should have been or who I could have beenF
I thought that I was supposed to aim to be the idealG
But when I grew up I realized that there was no idealG
That persons were who they are because of who they wanted to be and their own circumstancesH
-
When I emerged I was still so young and dumbI
But as the years went on I too like everyone else learned to be me and was too the product of my circumstancesH
The years went on and I saw others fade away be cut down starved by others and the growth of newbornsJ
The usual Natural SelectionK
-
But throughout my years in this forest these three truths I ve learnedL
Everyone has their own humble beginnings whatever their humble might beM
People change as they grow so never be too hard on others or think too highly of them they are weak as youN
And life never stays the same it always changes so never lose faithO

Poet's note: These are my thoughts on how there is no ideal way to live. But it must be lived as an individual who goes after who he or she wants to be.
