People only notice me when they need me when it is convenientA
Am always here I never change but everything around me doesB
People always walk pass me even though I ll always stand by themC
No one speaks to me yet still I call out to themC
To direct themC
-
To direct them to what I know to be rightD
But they always think that they know it all no need for meE
Until they find themselves in a tragedy a calamityE
Then everyone wants to point to me and come to meE
Wasn t I always hereF
-
Her standing on this street corner as a signG
A sign to call out and guideH
But everyone goes about their wayI
I ve learned that everyone has their own mindJ
They decide what they do nextK
-
Everyone is looking out for number oneL
Who do I think I am to tell others the truth my truthM
But I am a sign I can t help itN
This is my natureO
So I ll keep standing here calling out and when they find themselves in a problemP
I will continue doing what a sign doesB
And helpQ
