A Dark Realization Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACD AEEEF GDHDI EEJKE

I opened my eyes and there was darknessA
I listened but there was silenceB
And I felt and there was only sadnessA
How did I get here why have I come hereC
I only looked down and fell right inD
-
Fell into the darkness deep and lonely darknessA
A darkness I ve always been curious about a darkness that has always called for meE
I always knew where to find it it has always been so near to meE
Near to me drawing me closer to satisfy my curiosityE
My curiosity of the unknown the avoidedF
-
Avoided for so long too longG
So I decided to look inD
To see if I could see hear or feelH
But I leaned so much I fell right inD
Into the deepI
-
And in the deep I found meE
I am the darkness which calls out to meE
I am the voice which calls outJ
I avoided the darkness the selfK
I avoided the darkness in meE
