Rhyme Scheme: A BCA D EFAGHI

One asked the man who had lost his sonA
-
O noble and intelligent old manB
As thou hast smelt the odour of his garment from EgyptC
Why hast thou not seen him in the well of CanaanA
-
He repliedD
-
My state is that of leaping lightningE
One moment it appears and at another vanishesF
I am sometimes sitting in high heavenA
Sometimes I cannot see the back of my footG
Were a dervish always to remain in that stateH
He would not care for the two worldsI
