Feel wonderful the spirit thing
where animals come up and follow him,
the park Jesus-occasionally people do
the same but he talks better with the animals
the birds are happy to nest in his hair
sometimes he'll have to fight a dog.
That time lying down in the road next to the lake
and stopping the traffic for blocks
like a glory day. He doesn't say much.
All that's left of the old world is a mobile phone
and the calls start, one after another
until the voices are a web
of sticky meetings he must attend-
“Demand the purity of Heaven
a celestial outcome,”
And the party comes to the rescue.
