Rhyme Scheme: ABABABAB CDCEABAB FGFGABAB HIJIABAB ABABABAB

Father and Mother and MeA
Sister and Auntie sayB
All the people like us are WeA
And every one else is TheyB
And They live over the seaA
While We live over the wayB
But would you believe it They look upon WeA
As only a sort of TheyB
-
We eat pork and beefC
With cow horn handled knivesD
They who gobble Their rice off a leafC
Are horrified out of Their livesE
While they who live up a treeA
And feast on grubs and clayB
Isn't it scandalous look upon WeA
As a simply disgusting TheyB
-
We shoot birds with a gunF
They stick lions with spearsG
Their full dress is unF
We dress up to Our earsG
They like Their friends for teaA
We like Our friends to stayB
And after all that They look upon WeA
As an utterly ignorant TheyB
-
We eat kitcheny foodH
We have doors that latchI
They drink milk or bloodJ
Under an open thatchI
We have Doctors to feeA
They have Wizards to payB
And impudent heathen They look upon WeA
As a quite impossible TheyB
-
All good people agreeA
And all good people sayB
All nice people like Us are WeA
And every one else is TheyB
But if you cross over the seaA
Instead of over the wayB
You may end by think of it looking on WeA
As only a sort of TheyB
