The Miracles Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIHI JEJE KEKE LELE EEEE MGMG

I sent a message to my dearA
A thousand leagues and more to HerB
The dumb sea levels thrilled to hearC
And Lost Atlantis bore to HerB
-
Behind my message hard I cameD
And nigh had found a grave for meE
But that I launched of steel and flameD
Did war against the wave for meE
-
Uprose the deep by gale on galeF
To bid me change my mind againG
He broke his teeth along my railF
And roaring swung behind againG
-
I stayed the sun at noon to tellH
My way across the waste of itI
I read the storm before it fellH
And made the better haste of itI
-
Afar I hailed the land at nightJ
The towers I built had heard of meE
And ere my rocket reached its heightJ
Had flashed my Love the word of meE
-
Earth sold her chosen men of strengthK
They lived and strove and died for meE
To drive my road a nation's lengthK
And toss the miles aside for meE
-
I snatched their toil to serve my needsL
Too slow their fleetest flew for meE
I tired twenty smoking steedsL
And bade them bait a new for meE
-
I sent the lightnings forth to seeE
Where hour by hour She waited meE
Among ten million one was SheE
And surely all men hated meE
-
Dawn ran to meet me at my goalM
Ah day no tongue shall tell againG
And little folk of little soulM
Rose up to buy and sell againG
