My New-cut Ashlar Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGI JKJK ILIL

My New Cut ashlar takes the lightA
Where crimson blank the windows flareB
By my own work before the nightA
Great Overseer I make my prayerB
-
If there be good in that I wroughtC
Thy Hand compelled it Master ThineD
Where I have failed to meet Thy ThoughtC
I know through Thee the blame was mineD
-
The depth and dream of my desireE
The bitter paths wherein I strayF
Thou knowest Who hast made the FireE
Thou knowest Who hast made the ClayF
-
Who lest all thought of Eden fadeG
Bring'st Eden to the craftsman's brainH
Godlike to muse o'er his own TradeG
And manlike stand with God againI
-
One stone the more swings into placeJ
In that dread Temple of Thy worthK
It is enough that through Thy GraceJ
I saw nought common on Thy EarthK
-
Take not that vision from my kenI
Oh whatsoe'er may spoil or speedL
Help me to need no aid from menI
That I may help such men as needL
