of bottomland to lie on | H |
a bed of ferns make a child | I |
and all the while the woman | J |
stretching both arms behind her | K |
over the bank hands swaying | L |
wrist deep in current perhaps | M |
some old wives' tale water's pulse | N |
pulsing what seed might be sown | O |
or just her need to let go | D |
the world awhile let the creek | P |
wash away every burden | J |
her life had carried so far | Q |
open a room for this new | R |
becoming as her body | S |
flowed around her man like water | K |
