and our beginning thereD

of Venus risingA
flare whiteB
and of antiquityC
that common ground we shareD
-
but under glaringA
inquisitorial lightB
no clarityC
to expunge her sea foamed hairD
-
Our dumb offeringA
of the triteB
a desultoryC
respect our lack of careD
-
No longer believingA
in any riteB
nor the vanityC
of reciprocated prayerD
-
Left grievingA
our plightB
its continuityC
the dull fact of being hereE
