Landfall Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GHI CJK

The lake placid how many times haveA
I watched it pitch out there IsolatedB
a perfection in its slow moving glacisC
Forbidding But that's not itD
the layers slip unwind we've so fewE
days left where not even wordsF
will ever invent Stray feelingsG
lapped insensitive and falling inH
to the long night's insensate driftI
All unspoken yet between usC
neither knowing becoming perhapsJ
our last observation before the shoreK
