The Secret Pool Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCADEEFFDGHHIIGJK KLLM

I KNOW a pool unknown to menA
Whose green and shadowed secrecyB
I share alone with bird and treeB
And there when I am sick at heartC
And ill at ease I draw apartC
To bathe and live and love againA
All Summertide and all Spring throughD
In its charmed neighbourhood the thrushE
And magpie in the dying blushE
Of sunset and the green of dawnF
Now nigh and now in aisles withdrawnF
Make melody each day anewD
And all night long the curious starsG
Through peepholes in its dome of leavesH
Peer down on it while Silence weavesH
A lovely spell a magic calmI
That soothes the soul like healing balmI
And breathes a peace that nothing marsG
Ah sweet indeed it is to laveJ
And lose oneself within the coolK
Soft presence of that forest poolK
Whose sacramental peace is suchL
That flesh and spirit at its touchL
The sleep of little children haveM
