Sonnet Viii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCEEFGGF

With many a weary step at length I gainA
Thy summit Lansdown and the cool breeze playsB
Gratefully round my brow as hence the gazeB
Returns to dwell upon the journeyed plainA
'Twas a long way and tedious to the eyeC
Tho fair the extended vale and fair to viewD
The falling leaves of many a faded hueD
That eddy in the wild gust moaning byC
Even so it fared with Life in discontentE
Restless thro' Fortune's mingled scenes I wentE
Yet wept to think they would return no moreF
But cease fond heart in such sad thoughts to roamG
For surely thou ere long shall reach thy homeG
And pleasant is the way that lies beforeF
