Sonnet 07 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCDDEFFGHIHIto the evening rainbow | A |
- | |
- | |
Mild arch of promise on the evening sky | B |
Thou shinest fair with many a lovely ray | C |
Each in the other melting Much mine eye | B |
Delights to linger on thee for the day | C |
Changeful and many weather'd seem'd to smile | D |
Flashing brief splendor thro' its clouds awhile | D |
That deepen'd dark anon and fell in rain | E |
But pleasant is it now to pause and view | F |
Thy various tints of frail and watery hue | F |
And think the storm shall not return again | G |
Such is the smile that Piety bestows | H |
On the good man's pale cheek when he in peace | I |
Departing gently from a world of woes | H |
Anticipates the realm where sorrows cease | I |
