Porlock Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCDEEDCFGC

Porlock thy verdant vale so fair to sightA
Thy lofty hills which fern and furze imbrownB
The waters that roll musically downB
Thy woody glens the traveller with delightA
Recalls to memory and the channel greyC
Circling its surges in thy level bayC
Porlock I shall forget thee notD
Here by the unwelcome summer rain confinedE
But often shall hereafter call to mindE
How here a patient prisoner 'twas my lotD
To wear the lonely lingering close of dayC
Making my sonnet by the alehouse fireF
Whilst Idleness and Solitude inspireG
Dull rhymes to pass the duller hours awayC
