Work And Joy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBC DEDEFGFG CHCHIGI

Each day I live I thank the LordA
I do the work I loveB
And in it find a rich rewardA
All price and praise aboveB
For few may do the work they loveB
The fond unique employC
That fits them as a hand a gloveB
And gives them joyC
-
Oh gentlefolk do you and youD
Who toil for daily hireE
Consider that the job you doD
Is to your heart's desireE
Aye though you are to it resignedF
And will no duty shirkG
Oh do you in your private mindF
Adore your workG
-
Twice happy man whose job is joyC
Whose hand and heart combineH
In brave and excellent employC
As radiantly as mineH
But oh the weary dreary dayI
The wear and tear and irkG
Of countless souls who cannot sayI
'I love my work '-
