Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH IJIJCECE KDLDMBMB

Though Virtue hurt you Vice is niceA
Aye Parson says it's wrongB
Yet for my pleasing I'll sufficeA
With Women Wine and SongB
But though it be with jocund gleeC
my tavern voice is ringingD
Had I to chuck on of the threeC
By gad I'd give up singingD
-
Bu not the vine What draught divineE
Could better souse my throttleF
God never meant that mellow wineE
Should languish in the bottleF
So Cellerman your best bring upG
Let silver cobwebs mist itH
When gold or ruby brims the cupG
Could even saint resist itH
-
I love the ladies yes I doI
I always did and willJ
I like with dainty dames to cooI
And have been known to billJ
Yes I agree it's wrong of meC
So call me grey rapscallionE
But when a lusty lass I seeC
I whinny like a stallionE
-
Oh let me be a reprobateK
Your canting care defyingD
I'll court that gay triumvirateL
Right to the day I'm dyingD
So troll until the rafter ringsM
And may my life be longB
To praise the Lord for precious thingsM
like Women Wine and SongB
