Be honest kindly simple trueA
Seek good in all scorn but pretenceB
Whatever sorrow come to youA
Believe in Life's BeneficenceB
-
The World's all right serene I sitC
And cease to puzzle over itC
There's much that's mighty strange no doubtD
But Nature knows what she's aboutD
And in a million years or soB
We'll know more than to day we knowB
Old Evolution's under wayE
What ho the World's all right I sayE
-
Could things be other than they areF
All's in its place from mote to starF
The thistledown that flits and fliesB
Could drift no hair breadth otherwiseB
What is must be with rhythmic lawsB
All Nature chimes Effect and CauseB
The sand grain and the sun obeyE
What ho the World's all right I sayE
-
Just try to get the Cosmic touchG
The sense that you don't matter muchG
A million stars are in the skyH
A million planets plunge and dieH
A million million men are spedI
A million million wait aheadI
Each plays his part and has his dayE
What ho the World's all right I sayE
-
Just try to get the Chemic viewA
A million million lives made youA
In lives a million you will beJ
Immortal down EternityJ
Immortal on this earth to rangeK
With never death but ever changeK
You always were and will be ayeH
What ho the World's all right I sayE
-
Be glad And do not blindly gropeL
For Truth that lies beyond our scopeL
A sober plot informeth allM
Of Life's uproarious carnivalN
Your day is such a little oneO
A gnat that lives from sun to sunO
Yet gnat and you have parts to playE
What ho the World's all right I sayE
-
And though it's written from the startP
Just act your best your little partP
Just be as happy as you canQ
And serve your kind and die a manQ
Just live the good that in you liesB
And seek no guerdon of the skiesB
Just make your Heaven here to dayE
What ho the World's all right I sayE
-
Remember in Creation's swingR
The Race and not the man's the thingR
There's battle murder sudden deathS
And pestilence with poisoned breathS
Yet quick forgotten are such woesB
On on the stream of Being flowsB
Truth Beauty Love uphold their swayE
What ho the World's all right I sayE
-
The World's all right serene I sitC
And joy that I am part of itC
And put my trust in Nature's planQ
And try to aid her all I canQ
Content to pass if in my placeB
I've served the uplift of the RaceB
Truth Beauty Love O Radiant DayE
What ho the World's all right I sayE
