There were two brothers John and JamesA
And when the town went up in flamesA
To save the house of James dashed JohnB
Then turned and lo his own was goneC

And when the great World War beganD
To volunteer John promptly ranD
And while he learned live bombs to lobE
James stayed at home and sneaked his jobE

John came home with a missing limbF
That didn't seem to worry himF
But oh it set his brain awhirlG
To find that James had sneaked his girlG
-
Time passed John tried his grief to drownH
To day James owns one half the townH
His army contracts riches yieldI
And John Well search the Potter's FieldI
