The Stretcher-bearer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGI JKJKLMLM

My stretcher is one scarlet stainA
And as I tries to scrape it cleanB
I tell you wot I'm sick with painA
For all I've 'eard for all I've seenB
Around me is the 'ellish nightC
And as the war's red rim I traceD
I wonder if in 'Eaven's heightC
Our God don't turn away 'Is FaceD
-
I don't care 'oose the Crime may beE
I 'olds no brief for kin or clanF
I 'ymns no 'ate I only seeE
As man destroys his brother manF
I waves no flag I only knowG
As 'ere beside the dead I waitH
A million 'earts is weighed with woeG
A million 'omes is desolateI
-
In drippin' darkness far and nearJ
All night I've sought them woeful onesK
Dawn shudders up and still I 'earJ
The crimson chorus of the gunsK
Look like a ball of blood the sunL
'Angs o'er the scene of wrath and wrongM
Quick Stretcher bearers on the runL
O Prince of Peace 'ow long 'ow longM
