The Keeper of the Records spoke | E |
This man O Lord has mocked Thy Name | F |
The weak have wept beneath his yoke | E |
The strong have fled before his flame | F |
The blood of babes is on his sword | G |
His life is evil to the brim | H |
Look down decree his doom O Lord | G |
Lo there is none will speak for him | H |
- | |
The golden trumpets blew a blast | I |
That echoed in the crypts of Hell | J |
For there was Judgment to be passed | I |
And lips were hushed and silence fell | J |
The man was mute he made no stir | K |
Erect before the Judgment Seat | L |
When all at once a mongrel cur | K |
Crept out and cowered and licked his feet | L |
- | |
It licked his feet with whining cry | M |
Come Heav'n come Hell what did it care | C |
It leapt it tried to catch his eye | M |
Its master yea its God was there | C |
Then as a thrill of wonder sped | N |
Through throngs of shining seraphim | H |
The Judge of All looked down and said | N |
Lo here is ONE who pleads for him | H |
- | |
And who shall love of these the least | O |
And who by word or look or deed | P |
Shall pity show to bird or beast | O |
By Me shall have a friend in need | P |
Aye though his sin be black as night | Q |
And though he stand 'mid men alone | D |
He shall be softened in My sight | Q |
And find a pleader by My Throne | D |
- | |
So let this man to glory win | R |
From life to life salvation glean | S |
By pain and sacrifice and sin | R |
Until he stand before Me clean | S |
For he who loves the least of these | T |
And here I say and here repeat | L |
Shall win himself an angel's pleas | T |
For Mercy at My Judgment Seat | L |
