Take It Easy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGDHDIJIJKDLD

When I was boxing in the ringA
In 'Frisco back in ninety sevenB
I used to make five bucks a flingA
To give as good as I was givenB
But when I felt too fighting gayC
And tried to be a dinger dongerD
My second Mike Muldoon would sayC
Go easy kid you'll stay the longerD
-
When I was on the Yukon trailE
The boys would warn when things were bleakestF
The weakest link's the one to failE
Said I by Gosh I won't be weakestF
So I would strain with might and mainG
Striving to prove I was the strongerD
Till Sourdough Sam would snap GoddamH
Go easy son you'' last the longerD
So all you lads of eighty oddI
Take my advice you'll never rue itJ
Be quite prepared to meet your GodI
But don't stampede yourselves to do itJ
Just cultivate a sober gaitK
Don't emulate the lively congerD
No need to race slow down the paceL
Go easy Pals you'll linger longerD
