Spanish Women Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DBEBFF BGBGBB HHHHBB| The Spanish women don't wear slacks | A |
| Because their hips are too enormous | B |
| 'Tis true each bulbous bosom lacks | A |
| No inspiration that should warm us | B |
| But how our ardor seems to freeze | C |
| When we behold their bulgy knees | C |
| - | |
| Their starry eyes and dusky hair | D |
| Their dazzling teeth in smile so gracious | B |
| I love but oh I wish they were | E |
| Not so confoundedly curvacious | B |
| I'm sure I would prefer them willowy | F |
| Instead of obviously pillowy | F |
| - | |
| It may be that they're plump because | B |
| The caballeros like them that way | G |
| Since men are lean and Nature's laws | B |
| Of contrast sway them to the fat way | G |
| For few their dames as much adore as | B |
| The se ntilde ors love their sleek se ntilde oras | B |
| - | |
| Well each according to his taste | H |
| The dons prefer their women lardy | H |
| But me I likes a tiny waist | H |
| And breast that fits a hand that's hardy | H |
| In short my bottom money backs | B |
| The baby who looks well in slacks | B |
