Seven Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF GHIHJJ KEEKCC

If on water and sweet breadA
Seven years I'll add to lifeB
For me will no blood be shedA
No lamb know the evil knifeB
Excellently will I dineC
On a crust and Adam's wineC
-
If a bed in monkish cellD
Well mean old of age to meE
Let me in a convent dwellD
And from fellow men be freeE
Let my mellow sunset daysF
Pass in piety and praiseF
-
For I love each hour I liveG
Wishing it were twice as longH
Dawn my gratitude I giveI
Laud the Lord with evensongH
Now that moons are sadly fewJ
How I grudge the grave its dueJ
-
Yet somehow I seem to knowK
Seven Springs are left to meE
Seven Mays may cherry treeE
Will allume with sudden snowK
Then let seven candles shineC
Silver peace above my shrineC
