Sentimental Shark Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFFGG HHIIJJIIKL MMNNOOPPQQ RRSSMMTTHH

Give me a cabin in the woodsA
Where not a human soul intrudesB
Where I can sit beside a streamC
Beneath a balsam bough and deamC
And every morning see ariseD
The sun like bird of paradiseE
Then go down to the creek and fishF
A speckled trout for breakfast dishF
And fry it in an ember fireG
Ah there's the life of my desireG
-
Alas I'm tied to Wall Street whereH
They reckon me a millionaireH
And sometimes in a day aloneI
I gain a fortune o'er the 'phoneI
Yet I to be a man was madeJ
And here I ply this sorry tradeJ
Of Company manipulationI
Of selling short and stock inflationI
I whom God meant to rope a steerK
Fate mad a Wall Street buccaneerL
-
Old Time how I envy youM
Who do the things I long to doM
Oh I would swap you all my richesN
To step into your buckskin britchesN
Your ragged shirt and rugged healthO
I'd take in trade for all my wealthO
Then shorn of fortune you would seeP
How drunk with freedom I would beP
I'd kick so hard I'd kick so highQ
I'd kick the moon clean from the skyQ
-
Aye gold to me is less than brassR
And jewels mean no more than glassR
My gold is sunshine and my gemsS
The glint of dew on grassy stemsS
Yet though I hate my guts its trueM
Time sorta makes you used to youM
And so I will not gripe too muchT
Because I have the Midas touchT
But doodle on my swivel chairH
Resigned to be a millionaireH
