Sacrifice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFG HIHIJJ

I gave an eye to save from nightA
A babe born blindB
And now with eager semi sightA
Vast joy I findB
To think a child can share with meC
Earth ecstasyC
-
Delight of dawn with dewy gleamD
On damask roseE
Crimson and gold as pennons streamD
Where sunset flowsE
And sight most nigh to paradiseF
Star studded skiesG
-
Ah How in old of age I feelH
E'er end my daysI
Could I star splendoured sky revealH
To childish gazeI
Not one eye would I give but twoJ
Well wouldn't youJ
