| When they shall seal y coffin lid | D |
| And this worn mask I know as ME | E |
| Shall from the sight of man be hid | D |
| To all eternity | E |
| Some one may say His sins were many | E |
| His virtues really had he any | E |

| When I shall lie beneath my tomb | F |
| Oh do not grave it with my name | G |
| But let one rose bush o'er me bloom | F |
| And heedless of my shame | G |
| With velvet shade and loving laugh | H |
| In petals write my epitaph | H |
