| My bitter Dirges of the Damned | I |

| Let carping critic flay and flout | K |
| My Ditties of the Down and Out | K |
| There now said I I've done with verse | C |
| My love my weakness and my curse | C |

| I went to sleep one bitter eve | F |
| And woke to find that I was famous | C |

| A bank account a limousine a | L |
| Life patterned dolce e divina | M |

| Oh yes my lyric flight is flighty | N |
| My muse is much more mite than mighty | N |
| But poetry has been my friend | O |
| And rhyming's saved me in the end | O |
