Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH CICIJKLK MCMCNONO

You talk o' prayer an' suchA
Well I jest don't know howB
I guess I got as muchA
Religion as a cowB
I fight an' drink an' swearC
Red hell I often raiseD
But never said a prayerC
In all my daysD
-
I'm honest right enoughE
Don't take no stock in crimesF
I'm jest a dockside toughE
An' yet an' yet sometimesF
If I should happen byG
A church door open wideH
The chances are that IG
Will sneak insideH
-
It's kin o' peaceful thereC
Jest sittin' in a pewI
There's sompin' in the airC
That rests me through an' throughI
It does me heaps o' goodJ
To see them candles glowK
So soothin' to the moodL
Why I don't knowK
-
Unless that sittin' stillM
Can be a kind o' prayerC
My heart jest seems to fillM
Wi' peace Oh God don't careC
For guys the likes o' meN
I just ain't in His lineO
But when the Cross I seeN
I make the signO
