Old Bob Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF GHGHII JKJKLM

I guess folks think I'm mighty dumbA
Since Jack and Jim and JoeB
Have hit the trail to Kingdom ComeA
And left me here belowB
Since Death the bastard bowled them outC
And left me faced with DoubtC
-
My pals have all passed out on meD
And I am by my loneE
Old Bill was last and now I seeD
His name cut on a stoneE
A marble slab but not as fineF
As I have picked for mineF
-
I nurse and curse rheumatic painG
As on the porch I sitH
With nothing special in my brainG
I rock and smoke and spitH
When one is nearing to the endI
One sorely needs a friendI
-
My Pals have gone in God's good earthJ
I guess they're packed up snugK
And since I have no guts for mirthJ
I zipper to my mugK
The question that I ponder onL
Is where the heck they've goneM
