My Twins Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABACAC DCDCECEC FGFGHCIC JKJKALAL

Of twin daughters I'm the motherA
Lord how I was proud of themB
Each the image of the otherA
Like two lilies on one stemB
But while May my first born daughterA
Was angelic from the firstC
Different as wine and waterA
Maude my second seemed accurstC
-
I'm a tender hearted dameD
Military is my bentC
Thus my pretty dears can claimD
For their Pa the RegimentC
As they say to err is humanE
But though lots of love I've hadC
I'm an ordinary womenE
Just as good as I am badC
-
Good and bad should find their levelF
So I often wonder whyG
May was angel Maude was devilF
Yet between the two was IG
May they say has taken vowsH
Sister Mary pure and sweetC
Maudie's in a bawdy houseI
Down in Mariposa StreetC
-
It's not natural I'm thinkingJ
One should pray the other curseK
I'm so worried I am drinkingJ
Which is making matters worseK
Yet my daughters love each otherA
And I love them equal wellL
Saint and sinner call me motherA
Ain't heredity just hellL
