Of penny wise upbringing | B |
For Grannies grey to paste away | D |
Within an album cover | E |
For maids in class to primly pass | F |
And lads to linger over | E |

I seek to trace the commonplace | H |
With humor and compassion | G |
Of earth am I and meekly try | I |
To be supremely human | G |
To please I plan the little man | J |
And win the little women | G |

Of fellow love and pity | L |
I tune my lute to prostitute | M |
To priest I pipe my ditty | L |
Through gutter grime be in my rhyme | N |
I bow to altars holy | L |
Lord humble me so I may be | L |
