Immortality Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EEEEFGFG HBHIJGJG

Full well I trow that when I dieA
Down drops the curtainB
Another show is all my eyeA
And Betty MartinB
I know the score and with a smileC
Of rueful ratingD
I reckon I am not worth whileC
PerpetuatingD
-
I hope that God if God there beE
Of love and gloryE
Will let me off EternityE
And end my storyE
Will count me just a worn out bitF
Of human matterG
Who's done his job or bungled itF
More like the latterG
-
I did not beg for mortal breathH
Plus hell or HeavenB
So let the last pay off be deathH
And call it evenI
To Nature I will pay my debtJ
With stoic laughterG
But spare me God your awful threatJ
Of Life Here afterG
