Fisherfolk Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE FGFGHIHI CJCJKLMLI like to look at fishermen | A |
And oftentimes I wish | B |
One would be lucky now and then | C |
And catch a little fish | B |
I watch them statuesquely stand | D |
And at the water look | E |
But if they pull their float to land | D |
It's just to bait a hook | E |
- | |
I ponder the psychology | F |
That roots them in their place | G |
And wonder at the calm I see | F |
In ever angler's face | G |
There is such patience in their eyes | H |
Beside the river's brink | I |
And waiting for a bite or rise | H |
I do not think they think | I |
- | |
Or else they are just gentle men | C |
Who love they know not why | J |
Greeen grace of trees or water when | C |
It wimples to the sky | J |
Sweet simple souls As vain I watch | K |
My heart to you is kind | L |
Most precious prize of all you catch | M |
Just Peace of Mind | L |
