Dreams Are Best Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDED FGFGHIHI JKJKLMLN OPOPDQDQ RSRSEACA

I just think that dreams are bestA
Just to sit and fancy thingsB
Give your gold no acid testA
Try not how your silver ringsB
Fancy women pure and goodC
Fancy men upright and trueD
Fortressed in your solitudeE
Let Life be a dream to youD
-
For I think that Thought is allF
Truth's a minion of the mindG
Love's ideal comes at callF
As ye seek so shall ye findG
But ye must not seek too farH
Things are never what they seemI
Let a star be just a starH
And a woman just a dreamI
-
O you Dreamers proud and pureJ
You have gleaned the sweet of lifeK
Golden truths that shall endureJ
Over pain and doubt and strifeK
I would rather be a foolL
Living in my ParadiseM
Than the leader of a schoolL
Sadly sane and weary wiseN
-
O you Cynics with your sneersO
Fallen brains and hearts of brassP
Tweak me by my foolish earsO
Write me down a simple assP
I'll believe the real youD
Is the you without a taintQ
I'll believe each woman tooD
But a slightly damaged saintQ
-
Yes I'll smoke my cigaretteR
Vestured in my garb of dreamsS
And I'll borrow no regretR
All is gold that golden gleamsS
So I'll charm my solitudeE
With the faith that Life is blestA
Brave and noble bright and goodC
Oh I think that dreams are bestA
